We are excited at Nadon Family Home to provide regular Friendship and Dating courses, a 10-week discussion-format course that helps adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities to understand and practice healthy relationship techniques for both their friendships and their romantic relationships. This program was developed by the University of Alaska Anchorage at Center for Human Development.
The class has an $80.00 registration fee that is due upon the start of the first day of the class. Classes will be held on Monday mornings from 9-10 AM in a class format and Friday afternoons at 3pm will be community excursions to practice the skills learned in class from that week. Those outings will be coordinated at the Monday class each week. We are currently only offering online sections of the course because of Covid-19 safety guidelines.
Nadon Family Home will not be providing Day Habilitation workers or transportation to individuals outside of our agency at this time.
